The Blue Macaw was, indeed, magical. Thanks to everyone who made it out for last July’s Mission Creek Music Festival performance! The support from you and even all those who couldn’t be there has been overwhelming. Unfortunately due to some travels by various band members the Planet Booty live show will be on a temporary hiatus. We’ll be back in October just in time to turn up the heat. Until then be sure to check us out at Pirate Cat Radio @ 6:00 pm this Saturday (August 15th) where Germart will be talking about Planet Booty, our workout routines, and doing a special performance live! Also, keep a keen eye on PlasticMilk.com this week. The new bootilicious Bay Area music blog will be featuring Dylan’s interview with one of its founding fathers.
For the first time Germart will be playing in the great city of San Francisco alongside rock-tastic bands Leather Feather and Tasso as part of the 2009 Mission Creek Music Festival. We’ll be kicking off the festivities at the fabulous Blue Macaw (formerly 12 Galaxies) at 9 o’clock. A wonderful voyage awaits in a night that has been themed “Space Magic.” My suggestion is to bring your finest bedazzeled garments. Be there! You smell that? There’s another home brew Germart stew workin’! We would love for any and all to come and join us for our first full presentation of Planet Booty June 27th @ 9 PM via the Orange Room. There will be dancing, there will be sweating, and there will probably be some floor humping. Ben Thompson (http://www.myspace.com/bthompsonj) and DJ Ras Activator will be joining us to bring you a full night of extraterrestrial funky goodness. A world of Booty awaits.

The Alternative Press Expo last month was a hoot! Germart represented with the debut of Dyl & Nate’s Planet Booty album and Consumer Comics Vol. 1, which I put together with a cameo by Miki Amano.
It was also heartening to see the hilarious new mini-comic “Ramble On” from Calvin Wong, the purty, smack talkin’ “Jin & Jam” fancy comic by Hellen Jo, and the worth-waiting-for and very pink Electric Ant Zine.

Dylan and Nathan have finally finished their genre-defying space funk epic, Planet Booty. We’ve got big plans for deluxe packaging, videos, and lots o’ performances in 2009. In the meantime, you can check out the album, download a low-fi copy, or buy the high-fi version here.
The cover photo shoot for Dylan and Nathan’s soon-to-be-finished “Planet Booty” album spontaneously added a crew of lady folk who just happened to be dolled-up and ready to strut in the Berkeley Hills too.
